i got my free people catalog the other day and immediately ripped the cover page off to add to my likes & inspiration folder. loved the girl's (lou doillon) hair, the shirt, the jeans, the tattoo.  just a great look and a great picture. 

 

and i just came across a blog post, and learned that garance dore was the photographer.    figures i'd like it!

anna dello russo and H&M. 

so far, what i've seen isn't really my style.  not that i'm surprised.  being that, while i love seeing her crazy, fantastic ensembles, i've never thought, "ooh, i would wear that...(fascinator, see-through dress, etc)!" 

i do, however, like this image from the collection. 

this ring might be the only piece i'd get (and wear) for myself (because, honestly, i do want to get something - it's ADR!).

the other day i was going to post a picture (similar to the one below) of anna dello russo, and share how insanely insane i thought the look was. but how could i, after admiring this one?among other things i think are crazy about this ensemble, the floral lace over the abdomen is so unflattering. (she has an awesome body.) but then, tonight, i came across these other images and i see that the look isn't as bad as i thought from the first, uncomplimentary shot i saw. still brazen (and nuts, perhaps), but not the craziest thing i've seen her pull off.

:: a month in fashion ::

i go to them often. read about them. study, critique, admire, mock, gawk. after all this time, her pictures, his pictures, are like acquaintances. and every now and then i see the makers in motion. in "real life." they are given voices and movement and more personality than i've seen through the images.

i'm such a sap. this video almost made me cry.
